2 Day Mini Window Building Class, Copper Foil Method

Location: 401 S. Main St, Colville, WA 99114

Duration: 5 hours total, 5-7:30pm, over the course of 2 days

Ages: 16+

Discover the magic of stained glass in this hands-on class where you'll learn the fundamentals of the copper foil method (also known as the Tiffany technique) to create a beautiful 10x10" window featuring a diamond bevel center. Perfect for first-timers or anyone wanting a creative escape, this 5-hour session (spread out over 2 days)  will guide you through each step- cutting, grinding, foiling, and soldering- to create your very own sun-catching glass art to take home.

All tools and materials are provided. Just bring your creativity and a sense of adventure!

What You'll Learn:

• How to safely cut and shape glass
• How to apply copper foil to each piece 
• Soldering techniques to join your project together
• How to work with bevels
• Bordering & Framing (zinc) a small window
• How to create your own hooks for hanging
• Tips for patina and finishing touches

Project:

All particpants will be creating the same window panel with beveled diamond center. During class, you'll also have the opportunity to select your own color palette from a curated variety of beautiful glass to make your piece truly one-of-a-kind.

Safety Requirements:

For your protection, closed-toe shoes and clothing that fully covers your legs are required. You will also be asked to sign a safety waiver before class begins.
